Stored procedure call from Oracle Reports works in 8i and 9i but not in 10g

1 New Member
We have a before parameter form report trigger in Oracle Reports that calls a stored procedure which loads a temporary table that the report uses to report data. This works ok in 8i and in 9i but when we try it against a 10g database we get a REP-1401 fatal pl/sql error. The Oracle Reports server is 9i.

My application uses Oracle stored procedure to modify multiple tables. but OracleClient does not support table-like arrays in one execution, therefore, I need call many times of the stored procedure. In this case how can I use transaction to rollback all the executions if there is error in the middle of calls? What I found is that the previous succussful calls already commit the modification in Oracle side, my application-level transaction...

The call always fails which and error message indicating that a conversion error between character and Numeric values. If I look at the database, the procedure...

Hi, I work primarily on Oracle databases. I am trying to convert a recursive stored procedure written in Oracle to DB2. Does DB2 UDB v8.2 (Windows/AIX) supports recursive stored procedures ?? After some research, I found out that to call recursively in DB2, the stored procedure should be CALLed using dynamic SQL. I am not sure whether it is the right way. Am I missing something ?? Please let me know...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
