Can I use PHP and htaccess to authenticate users?
My service provider lets me password protect directories on my web site -
using htaccess. If a user tries to access a page within a password
protected directory, a dialog is received requesting username and password.
But I want to provide a login page that users go to first, and then are
directed to the page/directory that they are allowed to see based on their
username/password.

I'm writing my first php app and I have a problem.
Initially I put template type strings, such as HTML Headers and page
footers in a MySQL table and called them up with a php SQL query to
include them in the printed HTML, This worked great but then I learned
about includes and I tried using includes to put them into the HTML.

Hi, I am a beginner and below I have code for a long in form. My goal is
for the form to read a file of a list of users and thier passwords
....compare the text box inputs to the file and either start over or load the
main file.... I attempted to use a slect case..but its not working for me..

I need suggestions on possible ways to implement the following:
10 users on a network need to infrequently add data to a backend database on the
network. The data would be a couple of records containing maybe a half dozen
fields. The users do not have Access.
Would adding a form to the backend database for these users be a viable option
considering they would need to open the form over the network?

Using ASPEmail can send mail to an account on my server and external emails. However, I have 2 functions that call the same sendEmail function from an include page to send mail external. For some reason 1 function works OK, but the other doesn't. Am baffled.
