A colleague has written a prototype program in PHP, using a MySQL
database.
It's a relatively simple app, with a restricted set of mysql commands
used (see below). The MySQL DB is being replaced with an Oracle DB
(same schema). My plan
1) globally replace the few mysql commands with intermediate
equivalents (such as myDB_connect for mysql_connect)
2) those central functions would then (for now) call the original

Has anyone had any luck using asp.net with an oracle database
specifically calling stored procedures that return collection types of a
user defined type or simply a varchar2 data type? What driver did you
use? What hurdles did you have to over come?

i m writing a VB.NET app using the Oracle Lite database as the data source.
Got a problem with inserting unicode chars e.g. chinese into the database
when using the dataadapter and dataset insert command. It gave a
NullReferenceException.

No, I am not posting in the wrong forum :).
I meant to check if the MS pros have read/heard of anything about
Oracle Lite 10R2 and its support for .Net Stored Procedure..
Oracle docs show that it only support java stored proc (on Windows 32
not CE), but do not show if it does not support .NET stored proc. the
docs show that Lite 10g R2 does NOT support PL/SQL stored procs....
Can anyone please help if you have any info or...

documenation says:
"If you do not have JDK 1.3 installed on your system,
