DATA prefix on column names

1 New Member
Hi,

I am beginner in Oracle and have the following problem.
am working with reports and forms and now have to add a column and when i check the select statement to see if the the column has been selected i get this sort of a query: select DATA.product_de scription
DATA.product_co de
from (select gl.product_desc ription
pb.product_code
from products gl, product pb)........

now, my question is what is this DATA that has been prefixed on the column names?

Please help thanks

Hi,
It might be the alias given to the subquery in from clause.
i.e;
select DATA.product_de scription
DATA.product_co de
from (select gl.product_desc ription
pb.product_code
from products gl, product pb) DATA

Cheers

Suppose I have a file containing several lines similar to this: :10000000E7280530AC00A530AD00AD0B0528AC0BE2 The data I want to extract are 8 hexadecimal strings, the first of which is E728, like this: :10000000 E728 0530 AC00 A530 AD00 AD0B 0528 AC0B E2 Also, the bytes in the string are reversed. The E728 needs to be 28E7,

Dear there, We have an x-ray CT system. The acquisition computer acquires x-ray projections and outputs multiple data files in binary format (2-byte unsigned integer) such as projection0.raw, projection1.raw, projection2.raw ... up to projection500.raw. Each file is 2*1024*768-byte big. I would like to read those files and convert to ascii files in %5.0f/n format as projection0.data ... projection500.data so that our

I am developing a Windows Forms application in VB.NET that will use .NET remoting to access the data tier classes. A very simple way I have come up with is by creating typed (.xsd) datasets. For example dsParts.xsd and including that in the data tier. I then will create a class that looks like this Public Class CPart Inherits dsParts

Hello, all, This is probably not so much related to C++ (Sorry in advance). But I did get this question during a C++ job interview. You are asked to design some data structure and algorith for the following function: List getNames ( List nameList, String prefix ); What it does is: given a name list and a prefix, return all the names in the name list that start with prefix.

I scoured the groups for some hands on code to perform the menial task of exporting table data from an Access 2000 database to Oracle database (in this case, it was oracle 8i but i'm assuming this will work for 9i and even 10g ) No one had what I needed, so I wrote it myself. I Rule. This code isn't going for efficiency, and isn't trying to be dynamic. It doesn't create the table structure in Oracle, that's up to you. (I

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
