We would like to create a audit table for storing information if any
objects like tables / stored procedures are dropped.
Table would also contain information about time and the user name who
has dropped the object.
Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I am using postgres 7.4.5 on Redhat Enterprise Linux 3.
My background is really on Oracle, and I am porting a largish database

Hi,
I automated a process (using a recordable MACRO) in excell to open msaccess query and retrieve data (from an Oracle database) - said data then to be compared via VLOOKUP with data in a second worksheet
I then hoped to tinker with the recordable MACRO, so that the second time the query is made to the ORACLE database, a prompt asks for the unique key of the record to be retrieved. Hopefully, I'd like to amend the code further so that...

I use Allen Browne's Audit Trail code in everything I do and I love
it.
Recently, I've run into a problem I can't figure out.
I have a database with about 35 lookup tables. I am creating an
"Admin" screen to allow the head social worker to maintain items in
the list. (This is a volunteer project for a non-profit that is trying
to help elders "age successfully" in their own homes, and I'm trying

Hello:
I am working with Oracle .NET Stored Procedures. I would like to know
how to return the results of a SELECT statement. I have tried
returning a OracleRefCursor and a DataTable, but nothing seems to
work.
What data type must I return for this to be accepted as .NET stored
procedure?

Hi,
Facts:
I created a database to support an application that tracks events on
different objects. The two main tables are tbl_Object and
tbl_EventLog. Each table has unique ID and on the tbl_EventLog there
is FK for a record in the tbl_Object. The events are inserted all the
time for the same or different objects from the tbl_Object. There are
about 600,000 objects in the tbl_Object and 1,500,000 (and growing)
events in tbl_EventLog.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
