Hi All,
Our customer has just decided to choose as development standard.
The application is HR application with report.
While many like Web client, Java application/thick client is still
developed by many.
Can any body please tell me what is strength and weakness of both
Thick Client compared to Web client ?

I'm a newbie to Python. In order to get much use out of it at my
site, I must be able to connect it to Oracle8i databases. I'm running
Python 2.2.2 on Tru64 (osf1 V5.1a).
First question:
What do you recommend?
DCOracle2? Note that I am not running Zope or any other web software.
cx_Oracle?

Dear all,
I have tried used the download version of oracle8i client and the CD come
with oracle8i but after clicking the setup.exe file, it doesn't start and
has no response. I have tried to shutdown and restart my XP machine but
hasn't solve the problem. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

All-
Having a problem installing a DB2 client on a machine running AIX
version 5.0. Client appeared to install one time succesfully, then
was uninstalled and a reinstall was attempted. For some reasons, it
does not complete the reinstall. See the status report from the GUI
installer at the end of this note. Errors are towards the bottom.
Everything installed in /usr/opt for DB2 but the sqllib folder that is

did not succeed to install this product on a Pentium 4 Windows NT
workstation.
I downloaded the patch number 1507768 from metalink. The installation
failed too. I downloaded a SUN JRE 1.1.8.16 from SUN archives

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
