Hello all,
I read some good reviews about jakarta HTTPClient about its session
and cookies management system and fancied giving it a try as a
learning exercise but somehow I don't seem to be able to get it to
work properly.
I'm basically trying to connect to this site
http://s1.starkingdoms.com/scripts/main.php
I am able to get past the authentication login page onto the next
screen but I then can't proceed any further because of...

Hi,
I'm a newbie starting up with ASP.NET,
and I'm getting off to a wonderful start
- and when I tell you "wonderful" I'm being sarcastic.
My OS is Win 2000 SP4 - and I'm using IE6.
I've gotten IIS installed, along with the .NET framework.

Hello,
I am trying to automatically login to websites after I have used SSO to get
the credentials. For my test, I am working with my Yahoo account. The code
that I am using is code that many have said works fine. I have done some
tweaking to fit my specific needs. The Problem is when I post to the My
Yahoo login page, the apparently the user name and password are being passed
because my user name is accepted, but I am told that...

Having a heck of a time trying to create a ton of AD user accounts in a specific
OU without having the users be forced to change their password upon a successful
login.
After creating the account (and committing the changes), I have the following
code that works:
// password info
userEntry.Invoke("SetPassword", new object{this.m_defaultPassword});
userEntry.Properties.Value = 0;
userEntry.Properties.Value = 0x200; ...

A somewhat obscure hack has emerged recently that is an offshoot of the now-infamous XSS.
It is known as Cross-Site Request Forgery, or XSRF for short. XSRF is a form of temporary identity theft that can cause your computer to initiate banking transactions, send emails or text messages, or even change account info on your favorite site... without your ever realizing it!
THE GOOD NEWS
Before we get started on the doom and gloom, you...

Hi,
I am working on a forgotpassword.asp page. I would like the user to enter their email address, and click submit. Upon submit, an email will be sent to the user's email address provided with the "password" they registered with.
I have posted my code below. However, I get an error on line 31:
Message = "You're password is:" & <%=objRS("Password" )%>
The input name="email" on the html form that leads to this asp page.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
