Hi,
I have a working application inserting rows to a table using the array
interface. Now I want to insert BLOBs as well but OCIStmtExecute crashes
when executed with BLOBs.
For BLOB types I use OCIDescriptorAlloc() and uses this to allocate
space for my data (app. 1Mb). Afterwards I store data in memory
allocated by OCIDescripterAlloc.

Hi,
I am trying to do bulk insert of binary data (array of bytes) in an
Oracle table. The data type of the table is BLOB. I am using Oracle
Objects for OLE (OO4O) in C++.
The binary data that I have to insert is in the form of byte array.
My problem is that the bulk inserts happen only as long as the length
of array is less than 4K. Any data more than 4K gets truncated.
Is it possible to do bulk inserts in a BLOB field with data more...

DOes anybody have a working example of how do make this work?
I've tried everything I could find, Clara patch, many non-working
examples using pack, baseencode, addslashes, str_replace, bin2hex,
hex2bin, for read only, using different db2 dataypes blob,clob
etc.....I'd post code but I've tried too many to list. just an example
would be excellent.
I've been trying 2 days now.
I know there is a php bug report 25118...

Hello guys!
This is Cristian From Argentina, and I wanted to ask you some help,
I've looking on this and it makes me mad, I found that the error is in
the $content , when y try to insert the record into the table via PHP
code i receive an error message saying that the sin taxis its
incorrect,however if i print the query echo ($query) and i copy and
paste the query in the PHPmyAdmin the insert executes successfully.

Can someone provide me the simple syntax necessary to insert or update
to a row containing a single BLOB column, where the BLOB data will be
obtained from a file? This is on a linux installation. The table has

Hi!
I'm using JDBC to connect to DB2. I have a binary data (array of bytes) and
want to save them.
Is it possible to write an INSERT statement to do this:
INSERT INTO TABLE (ID, BYTES) VALUES(1, '0x33 0x34') -- for example
or do I have to use PreparedStatement and setBlob/setBytes method?

Hi,
Is it possible to insert BLOB data without doing a select first? I have
data available and want to insert a row with BLOB data.
Should I use the callback function with OCILobWrite() or is it not
possible at all without doing a select?
How about using a temporary LOB? I have tried everything I could come up
with but nothing seems to work.

hello -
i'm trying to insert a blob into my table, it will insert but the string that i insert when i query the inserted data returns null with 0 bytes in the column.
I have other tables set up this way and i'm able to insert text data into it with no problems. I've checked the database design its basiclly a duplicate. I did have to remove my not null on the long blob element.
but other then that, i don't understand why this is...

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
