Hi,
we are using DB2 on Fedora
We try to backup the datbases automatically every day (night). For this
purpose, I wrote two scripts, a shell (bash) and a sql script.
The shell script set the profile and call the sql script.
******* short form
/home/db2iusr/sqllib/db2profile
/opt/IBM/db2/V8.1/bin/db2 -tvf /db2/backup/db2-backup.sql

This seems easy but I have been asking tcl and python IRC chat all day
and no one gave an answer.
I have 100 servers which need a new backup server added to a text file,
and then the backup agent restarted.
If I have a list of the servers, all with same root password, and the
connection is ssh.
How do I connect to the server, cat the line to the config file, stop
adn start the agent, and then do same to next server in list and
iterate...

Some time ago I asked in this conference, - How to use an ONLINE BACKUP to restore database onto another system? - but got no answers. Therefore I can conclude it is not possible.
But... what can I do with "online backup", really ? What is it needed for ? I do not see any possibility to use this backup. Please, share your knowledge, if you can.

This one's probably super easy and I'm just not finding the right
command/job:
I've already set up a scheduled backup job that dumps the contents of
my DB2 (ver 8.1) database to a folder on my hard drive nightly (it is
then backed up on a tape). However, I have no idea how to
automatically delete old backup dump files (I've been doing it
