u must first go to universal installer in oracle installtion in program files, and then
deinsall all product ,then open services in control panel and stop all services
belong to oracle ,and then go to regedit and remove all files in your machine
belong to oracle installation and then delete the all oracle`s files in your hard
then boot your machin, and i advise you to boot your machin in each step you do

Does the Oracle work with Windows Server 2003 and .NET? I am trying to run an ASP.NET app and keep getting the error "System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL (OraOps9.dll)". The dll in in the Oracle bin directory and I have relaxed permissions for ASP.NET and IUSR_machinename. This worked fine on Windows XP. I have downloaded all the latest patches for the client. Am I trying to do the impossible? Do I have to revert to XP?...

Hello Everyone, I am trying to install Oracle 9 on my Windows XP Pro laptop so I can play around. I downloaded the 3 ZIP files specified on the Oracle site (92010NT_Disk1.zip) and unzipped them into their respective Disk1, Disk2, Disk3 folders. I then run the setup.exe in Disk1, the drive churns for 10-15 seconds, then nothing happens. No error messages, nothing. I've tried running the autorun, I get the Splash logo with the menu, I...

A client is testing a system on Oracle 9i and Win 2000 (why not 10g and 2003 etc? dont ask, long story). Performance was poor. Among other issues, we discovered that the Oracle datafiles are badly fragmented. This is fragmentation in the Windows sense of the physical file being all over the disk, not the Oracles internal file fragmentation. Each Oracle DB file is typically in several thousand fragments (I have no idea how it got that...

I am trying to download Oracle 10g from Oracle's download site and keep getting disk full errors. I am trying to download to my G drive (all kinds of space) and my C drive doesn't have enough space to contain th eentire file. It appears that the download goes to a temporary file (I think this is on C) and when complete, the file is copied to its final destination. Is there any way tyo get around this problem (the file size is ~ 600...

Hi all, Being that so far I didn't get an answer to my below problem on the Oracle newsgroup, I figured it couldn't hurt to try here. While at my current job I've been working with mostly SQL Server, now I need to connect to our Oracle Financials running on HP-UX. The Oracle DBA set me up as a user and installed the Oracle client on my box and I have the tnsnames file, but I still can't establish a connection to the database from my...

On my development machine I have the oracle client 10g installed and my application works. But on the Web server I get the error below. I believe it is because the Oracle client was not installed on the web server. The web server has two drives, our techs installed the oracle client on one drive and my...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
