I'm using a product which internally installs oracle 8. This product
works on Windows 2000. I'm planning to install same product on Windows
2003 and use it in compatibility mode.
Can anybody tell me whether it will work or not? Do I need to carry
out specifict settings? (As per my understanding, I need to set

We have done a complex software with VB using SQL Server through ADO. Now
our customer is planning to switch from SQL Server to Unix/Aix Oracle 8 DB.
I'm a newbie both in Oracle and Unix and wonder how this will affect our
software. Would changing the connection string be enough (I quess not).
Any help would be appreciated !

Need help on the Auto Number or Identity Seed on the Oracle Database

Somehow the Trigger we created to simulate the "AUTO NUMBER" on Access
could not create the sequence number as soon as the value has been
