I'm trying to check a graph (represented in the usual Python adjacency list format) for loops. This is dead simple - you use a depth-first search, and look out for "back edges" (edges from a vertex "back" to one you've already seen). I already have a DFS algorithm which generates each edge in turn. It's great for what it does, but it ignores back edges. def DFS(graph, start, seen = None): if not seen:

Is there any interest in a (hypothetical) standard graph API (with 'graph' meaning a network, consisting of nodes and edges)? Yes, we have the standard ways of implementing graphs through (e.g.) dicts mapping nodes to neighbor-sets, but if one wants a graph that's implemented in some other way, this may not be the most convenient (or abstract) interface to emulate. It might be nice to have the kind of polymorphic freedom that one has with,...

I realize this may be too Oracle specific for this forum-- but I've seen a fair amount of postings related to ORacle 9i's XML capabilites so I thought I'd give it a shot. So, I've read in Oracle's documentatino for 9iR2 that if you want to store schema based XML documents in Oracle, you first have to register the schema. The problem is that if you want to modify the schema, and then subsequently re-register it Oracle will force you to...

Hi I have a report with a graph on it and want to change the minimum and maximum values for the value axis when it is previewed. This can't be done by adding code in the Open event as once the report has started printing the properties can't be changed. It can be done with an MDB by opening it in design mode hidden, making the change, saving it and then opening it in preview mode. However, this obviously doesn't work in an MDE which...

I'm trying to follow the examples in VBAGRP9.CHM and/or VBAGR10.CHM with no success. I'm trying to Chage the Legend Colors based on Content so that I can establish a certain color format on Content. The Chart will reside on a Report and possibly converted to a 2002 format. Currently I'm using the following code with Microsoft Graph 11.0 Object Library referenced.: With myChart.Legend For i = 1 To .LegendEntries.Count...

Hi, I'm searching for a good pattern for the following problem: In a large object tree, all object implement a property called IsDirty. That flag is set when a property is modified. If a child object is dirty, the parent object must return IsDirty = true as well. This works. I now want to have an event on the root object of the tree, that signals when one object in the tree is set to dirty. What is a good approach for

Hi ! I need to create a program that read eml file headers, analyze the receive tags and create a path database. I finished with this program section. But I want to show a graphical summary about the paths. This is (what I want to show) like a graph - show ways, stations, etc, and I want to show the strength of lines (how many of mails use this way).

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
