Execution time of a Query -- URGENT

1 New Member
Hi,
I need to find out the time taken to insert a certain number of records into a table in oracle. The insertion was not a direct insert, rather it was done through an application functionality, so I cannot directly query from the elapsed time(which comes by set timing on) or find in via the editor(if we used TOAD or pl/sql developer). Also, I do not have any specific fields that are related to the timestamp of when the records were inserted into the table. Can any one of you please help me in finding how much time has been taken to insert a specific no of records?

Hello to all, I've written a script that take quite a long time to execute (email sending). Last time I ran it, PHP gave me a "execution time limit exceeded" (or something like that), so I changed the value in php.ini. Now, the questions are : - How can I make sure I'm not going to have problems when execution time lengthens still ? I'm...

Hi All, I'm a relative newbie to SQL Server, so please forgive me if this is a daft question... When I set "Show Execution Plan" on in Query Analyzer, and execute a (fairly complex) sproc, I note that a particular query is reported as having a query cost of "71% relative to the batch" - however, this is nowhere near the slowest executing...

I have a Stored Procedure (SP) that creates the data required for a report that I show on a web page. The SP does all the work and just returns back a results set that I dump in an ASP.NET DataGrid. The SP takes a product area and a start and end date as parameters. Here are the basics of the SP. 1. Create temp table to store report...

On SSMS 9.00.3042.00, any query that runs longer than 10 minutes gets the following error message: The statement has been terminated. Msg -2, Level 11, State 0, Line 0 Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. I have changed the setting for Execution time-out to 0...

Hello, I ran a query that I thought would take an hour, but instead took 14 hours to run. The consequence was it bogged down our data warehouse and the overnight build was adversely impacted. Is there a local setting I can set to limit the execution time my query will take? I dont want to have a server setting and impact other queries, just...

If the user calls a time consuming script and then stops or refreshes the browser before the script had time to finish will Apache kill the script mid execution or will it let it finish ? I...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
