Copy data to another schema

15 New Member
I am trying to copy data from one schema to another schema using TOAD connecting to Oracle 10i. Some of the tables can be copied smoothly but two some of them cannot. There is no error message given, TOAD just hangs there and the status bar shows "fetching rows.". The source table and destination table are identical. Anybody knows what's happening?

I bet TOAD is waiting on a constraint, trigger or a lock, neither will return an error message to toad. A update/insert trigger set on a table or it's index your copying is most likely your problem. Using 'Create like' or 'Create script' or 'Create in another schema'?

I am developing a Windows Forms application in VB.NET that will use .NET remoting to access the data tier classes. A very simple way I have come up with is by creating typed (.xsd) datasets. For example dsParts.xsd and including that in the data tier. I then will create a class that looks like this Public Class CPart Inherits dsParts

For testing purposes I propose to add a schema (testing, how original) and would like to copy some of my live tables to it, both structure and data. I know I could use something like dump/restore for the data and Quest's (BTW this a very nice product) 'create like' function. That would work, but it seems a lot of work for something DB2 should know how to do.

Hi; I thought I would rephrase a question I asked in another post to more quickly get to the heart of the matter. My apologies for anyone who is offended by what appears to be a repetition. My company has two identical web sites. One copy is for our customer, and one copy is for us to test our code changes on. We developed a hard to isolate bug in the copy of the web stie for our

Hi all, I have a need to copy data from one database/schema to a different database schema. Yes, I can use export/import but that is not "elegant". Yes, I can try a redirected Restore from Backup but this method has the irritating requirement of pause, set tablespaces and continue, again much manual intervention. What I am most interested in is this: The two databases are in the same instance/server. I want to be able to copy directly from...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
