Hi,
I am trying to set up a wired network to share my tesco internet between an Xp PC and a new Vista laptop. I managed to set up the router so that I could share files and printers, but the tesco internet set up on the PC would not work on either computer. The DSL light was on and not flashing on the router, which I think means that the router is receiving the broadband signal?
The installation disks that came with this second hand router were for BT Yahoo, but my internet is provided by Tesco. I know that this shouldn't matter, but there were no instructions as to how to set it up for other isp's.
I had the PC connected to the router via USB and the laptop connected to the router via ethernet - is this right or should I connect the PC via ethernet to set up router? The router only has 1 ethernet port and 1 usb port.
I know that I need to tell my router to receive the tesco signal, but I just don't know how!
any help would be really appreciated! I'm not that fabulous with all the technology so in simple terms would be even better :o)
Thank you
