Hi,
I'm writing an application that needs to know if an Internet connection
is available. Basically, I want to have something similar to what a lot
of email clients have, where the app can work either in "online" or
"offline" mode (it keeps a cache of downloaded info, so it can work
without a connection if needed).

Hello,
I have an application that runs continously gives an error and stops working
if the internet goes down (which happens for about 5-10 minutes several times
a day. Can anybody tell me how to test for internet connectivity when this
happens and then pause processing until internet connectivity is back up?

Hey guys this is a Linux networking question and I've not had any luck with getting it solved yet.
ra0 (192.168.1.90) connects to roommate's wireless router for internet
eth1 (192.168.8.1) feeds shared internet into WAN port of my router

I have a Lenovo Laptop with O.S as "Windows Ultimate 7".
When there is no Internet connection(DataCard),the Laptop is working fine.But whenever I plugin DataCard for Internet connectivity,Laptop will automatically shutdown just within 5 mints.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
