I installed php-4.3.3, mysql and apache server 2.0.47.
but I can not connect to my apache server from my other computer, i use
static ip for my server, set ip address for server name on httpd.conf,
setup sua server on router. do i miss something here? anyone can help me
to figure it out? thanks.

Hi;
I have installed suse 8.2 a short while ago and at my first attempt to connect mysql (via shell and a perl dbi script) i get following error:
can't connect to mysql server through socjet '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock'.
i know this looks like a common error and I am terribly sorry if this kind of subject has been posted before but I'll appreciate any urgent help.

Hi all,
I am having real problems allowing a client to connect to sql 2000
through enterprise manager.. I have tried all sorts but to no avail:
From our local network all works fine.. Using the adsl line.. Even if
i try and connect to the external IP and use login details..(As
opposed to connecting local and using windows accounts) I can ping and
telnet the server and port.

My WebForm1.aspx works fine when I connect via localhost, AND when I
connect using the IP address. HOWEVER, NO ONE ELSE can connect using
my IP address. Capitalization is correct, Firewall is off, and still
everyone just times out.
Help is greatly appreciated, 'specially since I've been working on
this site for over 24 hours straight :-|

I have internet connection, and already I connected with my desktop through lan and my laptop through wifi. Due to some reason I removed that connection setting in my laptop, now I want to connect, but It does not connect.
