Hi There,
Being quite new to MS-SQL I would like to ask if there is a general opinion
of what approach should be taken to storing things like external documents
and images in databases.
Should the actual files be stored within the database, or instead should
links to the files on a file server or something similar be stored instead.
For the end user I imagine it is easier to have everything stored within the

Can't a good browser keep track of visited vs. unvisited link colors?
Is my site deficient as I have not messed with link colors?
Does Nielsen address why all this can't be left up to the browser?
Are link colors supposed to be special, like background images, to make
a big impression?

Right now I'm using

It works -- I have a lot of data in each file and only want the
visitor to have to download the necessary file. Is there a better way
to do this?
Just curious because the page doesn't validate in HTML validators.

I'm working on some link styles for this page:

I want all the links to always display in red (#CC0000), but in IE6
and 7 they display in gray. In FF and Opera they work fine. I've
looked all over the code and can't find what might be causing this. Is

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
