Thanks.

If you need to connect your USB HDD means ,you can go for "USB over netwrok".

Hi, I'm looking for some code to monitor for when an external drive is connected to a computer (USB ThumbDrive, External Hard Drive, etc.) and is assigned a drive letter. I'd want my code to trigger off of the mounting process so I can search for a specific file on that hard drive (which is always guaranteed to be in a specific spot).

Having trouble installing my 180 day Visual Studio 2005 trial disk. The CD that was sent is actually a DVD not a CD. My home PC only has a CD drive. I attempted to install on an external drive using a work PC with a DVD drive and then use the external drive from my home PC. Unfortunately the install process puts files on the hard drive of the work PC as well as on the external drive. So I can not run the software from my home PC using the...

Can anyone tell me how to set up the database on my laptop, but with a physical location of the data on the external hard drive? Oh -...

The Error Message: If you have NTFS installed on your hard drive, you need to create a MS DOS boot partition for windows. Also, the icon that says HD does not even come up. The diagnostic test have said: Hard Drive NONE found. All NTFS MS DOS programs we've tried, have not worked. So, as a work around, we were wondering if the following would work: Can one hook up an external hard drive to it, toss on XP (onto external HD), and use the...

I have a fairly new Maxtor OneTouch III Turbo Terabyte external drive (raid) and a new Dell 690 Precision also raid.....on XP. The maxtor was working fine and I was backing up data to it for a couple of months. Then all of a sudden the computer did not recognize it. I tried device manager, uninstalling & reinstalling driver, etc. I tried other USB...

I have a Seagate 160GB external hard drive and have been using it to store all my files on using my Windows XP system installed on my E-Machine. Now suddenly my computer continues to tell me that the drive is working properly and that the driver installed is the most recent driver. However, my computer does not assign it a drive location for me to access my files. What is the problem? It is definitely in the XP software. I was able to...

Hi, I have made an intranet to my company and I have put the asp pages to a server which plays the role of a web server. I would like to know how I can use the upload method using asp to upload files to an external network drive. I use an upload script which asks for a physical drive. Till now it works great but I can't use it to upload to a network drive. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
