Hello:
I'm running python under cygwin and need to find the drive letter.
Cygwin has a way of calling my drives by a name relative to the Cygwin
directory, so I get things like /home/user rather than
/cygdrive/g/cygwin/home/usr, etc. How can I find the letter of the
drive, or in the above example, the letter 'g'?
My program needs to run on an external media that comes with Cygwin on
it. I have no control over what drive is assigned to...

Hi,
I'm looking for some code to monitor for when an external drive is
connected to a computer (USB ThumbDrive, External Hard Drive, etc.) and
is assigned a drive letter.
I'd want my code to trigger off of the mounting process so I can search
for a specific file on that hard drive (which is always guaranteed to
be in a specific spot).

I recently got an external hard drive to backup all my files. The easiest way it seems to synchronise between my desktop computer and the backup files on the external hard drive is to use Microsoft briefcase, but this then makes a replica of the database - which is not what I want.

First I need to create a virtual drive with a fixed drive letter. I want to mount my external hard disk to this location of virtual drive. This drive letter should not changed irrespective of reboot or changing the volume name of external hard disk also.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
