Visual Studio 2008 Not Working in My System

HI Guys!

Visual Studio 2008 has been recently installed in my system. It is not working in my system. The problems that i am facing are as follows:

When opening a New Project, It gives the following error

The "Microsoft.Build.Tasks.Windows.GetWinFXPath" task could not be loadaded from the assembly PresentationBuildTasks, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35. Could not load file or assembly 'PresentationBuildTasks, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. Confirm that the <UsingTask> declaration is correct, and that the assembly and all its dependencies are available.

When I am trying to Run my New Web Project I am getting the following Error.

Configuration System failed to initialize

If any body knows the solution please send me the same as early as possible.

Thanks and Regards

What .NET Framework is your VS2008 set up to develop for?
Make sure that you have that Framework installed.

That sounds like its trying to use components of .NET3 and you don't have it installed yet?

Hi Guys!

Thanks for you all for the wonderful Response. At last I made it work by Un-Installing Each & Every VS Studio 2008 Related S/w from my System and then Installed it Once again.

Now its Working Fine.

Thanks and Regards
