Values in text area get cleared

Hi,
In my application i am using a textarea and Image button. I give a confirmation box to ask Are u sure to submit? thru javascript. When i click cancel or ok, the value entered in textarea got cleared. pls help me to retain value in textarea when i click cancel button?

Can you give an example of your code?

Your probably giving the text box a value on page load (or similar early event), what you need to do is put the code to assign the value in a statement similar to this....

if (!IsPostBack)
{
TextBox1.Text="Hello world";
}
