Porblem inserting a checkbox value into database

I am having problem inserting checkbox value into database table.

My database field is of type char(1).

and my code is like this:

string cc= null;
if (chkdiscipline.checked)
{
   cc = "T";
}
else
 cc= "F";
 
insert into ccat(CC_CHECKED) values ('"+Convert.ToChar(CC)+"')
 

this does not work and give me error message.

Please I tried to loop for a solution but can not find so, any help will be appreciated.
