ASP.Net 2.0 error in VS 2005 in Window XP-SP2 PC

1 New Member
Hi,

I am Aneesh Kumar currently working as .Net developer,I would like to present my problem here:-

My PC is Windows XP-SP2 and currently I have installed Visual Studio 2005 in it and whenever I try to run an ASP.Net project I am getting an error as

"Unable to start debugging on web server. The web server is not configured properly.See help for common configuration errors.Running web page outside the debugger may provide further information"

I have installed VS 2005 after installing IIS so that my asp.net will register automatically. But my windows applications are working nicely in VS 2005.My ASP.Net version is "2_0_50727".

I would appreciate the help provided by the fellow forum members.
Thanking you all in advance

Installing VS 2005 changes the default .NET Framework version of all webapps on the machine. If you are trying to run 1.x then you will need to change it back in IIS. You can do that in a new tab labeled ASP.NET under website/virtual directory Properties. HTH.
