I have SP2 of IE 7 and keep losing 2 of my Favorites folders, one called
Health and the other called Shopping. I restore them and they eventually
disappear again. I have Windows Updates set to automatically update and have
received some updates to IE 7 occasionally. Usually related to security.

You'll have better luck asking in a group for IE, rather than in this .NET
programming group.
I'll cross post this to an IE group,
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general
Hi PVD,
Its a wild guess, but are you using a firewall (Nortons, perhaps with
Productivity control enabled). The folder names "Shopping" and "Health" may
be being considered as spam folders by your firewall/productivity software.
Try renaming them to something else....myShopping and myHealth sould be
sufficient.
Please post back.
Regards.

Perhaps using FileMon would confirm that hypothesis
or give better details for another one? ; }
Actually I would try ProcMon instead, in case (e.g.) the file folders
are disappearing to correspond with them being deleted in the registry
by a similar agent.

Windows is the only firewall I'm using and I use Panda Antivirus, no firewall
there.
