Set file attributes in VB 2005 Express

Please can someone help. I need to create a folder and then set the
"compressed" attribute so that any files copied into it are compressed too -
I cannot find a way to do it in VB. There are several attributes that cannot
be set using the usual method, compression and encryption are two. The only
way I've found to do it is to shell to a cmd prompt and use the COMPACT
command. This is decidedly unsatisfactory.

The app I'm writting needs to work on 2000, 2003, XP and Vista.

Thanks - in advance.
