Sorry to hear that you are having problem installing sql express.
Couple of suggestions first if you have had any of the vb 2005 betas
installed make sure you use the uninstall tool to remove the beta.

I installed SQL Server Enterprise 64-bit. The installation seemed to go fine, except the only thing listed under "MicroSoft SQL Server 2005" is "Configuration Tools" in the startup menu. I have no Management Tools. Visual Studio 2005 is also installed on the box, and I read that because VS installs SQL Express, that this can be a problem. Okay, so what do I do now? I can't get the installation program to

I wanted to install the SQL SERVER 2005 Express Advanced Services, because I wanted the import / export features of the data manager. I chose the route of deleting the template files and then installing, as my version of SQL Server express was part of the install, with Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition and I was not confident of re-installing just SQL Server Express. The install progressed quite nicely until I got the following...

I was able to view table content easily before, but after I reinstalled everything, I cannot find the option to view table content in MS SQL Server Express. I can define table with no problem. Check out the screen snapshot below, from which you'll see that the popup menu frrom right-clicking on the table name does not have the "Open table" option. What is going on? http://farm1.static.flickr.com/167/426251515_b839620d0b_o.png

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
