Someone... put me out of my misery

Hi folks

Is there an example of how to make a web service which supplies data to a
windows form for manipulating in .NET 2.0? I just want to do the normal
stuff (fill a combo box with a list, change data in a datagridview, etc).

The trouble is that there are lots of examples which show snippets of
information, and most of them aren't done using the IDE - they mostly seem
to involve hacking loads of code to get them to work. I'm looking for
something that shows the proper way of doing it through the IDE with as
little code as possible (am I on a different planet?).

As you have guessed, I have come from the Delphi world where all this kind
of stuff is easy!!

Thanks

Will

Hi Will,

A web service which supplies data to a window form to create controls like
Tables, DropDownLists (combo boxes), DataGrids must deliver as output
(respectively data sources) DataSets, XML Nodes strings, arrays of non
primitive types, structures. On my site www.wwv-it.com/WebServicesNet you can
find a lot of demos and applications for this goal.
If you will find something interesting for you, inform me and I will send
you code snippets.

Have a fun!

Valentin
