using WMI in a VB.Net program

Hey all,

I am writing a program that I would like to use to publish values via
WMI. The properties of the class are read only and simple types
(Integer, Double, etc.)

I have set a reference to the System.Management namespace and put
"Imports System.Management" and "Imports
System.Management.Instrumentation" at the top of the class. I
"decorated" my class with
"<InstrumentationClass(InstrumentationType.Instanc e),
ManagedName("InstanceClassName")>". I have also included "Imports
System.Management" and "<Assembly: Instrumented("root/CNPPID/TestWMI")>
" in the AssemblyInfo.vb file.

My question, I guess, is about the installer. I understand I need to
add a custom installer to the project to register the WMI schema. Is
that correct?

I have no experience with custom installers and even less with
installilng WMI. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dave
