IDE Modal Dialog (where is it)

I am so sick of this poor IDE. (VS2003). Latest screwup - add new C#
project. Should not be a big deal right? Ok delete the generated class.
No problem so far.

Add new class. Shows in editor but IDE is now stuck. Can't close because
there is a "modal" dialog active. Of course it would be nice if I could see
this dialog (and I have made the IDE about 1 inch square, so it is not
hiding behind).

At this point all I can do is CTL-ALT-DEL and kill it. Open it again and we
are back to the same old same old.

Please , please , please MS listen to all the complaints. VS2003 is a poor
development environment with all the problem that exist at present. If MS
gives a hoot about its customers (developers) then perhaps some of the
problems that are written about every day in these newsgroups could be
fixed.

As a "solution" I have McAfee virus checker. It has a script stopper and
disabling this gets past the problem. While I can now go back to work,
isn't it a bug when an application (in this case VS2003) says it is waiting
on a dialog that the user cannot see or respond to.

Can't see how, McAfee are the one that screw up, the halted VS.Net, and
they won't show you the dialog to confirm the script.
How is VS responsible?

I was working happily on a project in VS the other day when some guy came up and kicked my computer. Wouldn't you know, Visual Studio stopped responding! Microsoft, when will you wake up and fix this nagging problem

This proves that Microsoft doesn't care about devlopers

The McAfee dialog was answered. It is VS that says it has a modal dialog
that no one can see. Please people if we don't complain and just say its ok
then nothing will ever happen.

Do you know, I am getting a bit pi$$ed off about the fact that I can spend 2
hours changing code and then unplug my computer and the damned IDE has not
saved a damned thing.

Everybody knows that software needs to be more intuitive - with all of the
M$ millions, you would think they could develop some telepathy code that
anticipates the next stupid thing a user is going to do instead of just
letting the user suffer because of their own incompetence.

I think I found another bug for the IDE, the other day I was working on a project, and damned if the IDE didn't make me enter my own code. What's with this, can't Microsoft write software that will figure out what I want it to do without any interaction.

You too need the same telepathy module!
