I'm having trouble encrypting/decrypting a simple string using the
System.Security.Cryptography.TripleDESCryptoServiceProvider, etc...
The encryption works, but the decryption does not properly decrypt
several of the first few characters.
Here's the code:

Hi all
basically its what i said in the subject. Would just like to know how to
split a string using a STRING value as the delimeter and not a CHAR as the
delimeter. Example: "I like Cheese", how would i get the following array:
strArray = "I"; strArray = "Cheese", using "like" as the delimeter
Thanks!

What could be the fastest method to reverse a string.
Speed really matters for my application. Average size of string that comes
to my function is around 200K - 300K.
Currently i am using the following algorithm:

public static string Reverse(string s) {
if (s == null || s.Length < 2) {

I'm having trouble the string.Format() throwing exceptions and I can't figure
out what I am doing wrong.
Given the following setup code:
string str = { "one", "two", "three", "four" };
double val = { 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 };
string fmt = "{0} {1} {2} {3}";
The following variations of string.Format() will work just fine with strings:

In the past I always used "" everywhere for empty string in my code
without a problem.
Now, do you think I should use String.Empty instead of "" (at all
times) ?
Let me know your thoughts.

Are there any library functions that can help me to do this? If
necessary I can convert the string to a byte array. I don't want to
have to write my own Hex conversion if it isn't necessary.
Thanks for any help

If I use something like this,
string html = "<h1>C# is great</h1>";
Console.WriteLine(html.Replace("<","<").Replace(">",">"));
Does this recreate new string objects two times, even though it has
nothing to replace, and it is OK to return the same string object?
I know, regular expression is a more delicate way to do this, but it
always...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
