XMLHttpRequest + XMLDOM

Is possible to:
a) save XMLHttpRequest object* (precisly: server response** which is in the
form of xml) to the xml document(on the client side) by the help of
JavaScript
or
b) directly load object*(his response**) into XMLDOM object(JacaScript or
VBScript).

If the server sends the response to the HTTP request with the proper
Content-Type (e.g. application/xml or text/xml) then the response is
parsed automatically and if it is well formed the responseXML is
populated so you have an XML DOM object in
xmlHttpRequestInstance.responseXML
then.

(kind of weird to be talking about XMLHTTP in the dotnet forum, but....)

As an aside, if the XMLHTTP object is running in the context of a browser
(like in a scripting scenario) and the XML resource is retrieved from the
Internet zone, calling Save() on the DomDocument held by responseXML will
fail.
