\aspnet_client

Bob
I noticed recently that a directory called \aspnet_client is being created
in all of my existing IIS websites. What's that for? How were they created
without my acknowledgement? Can I get rid of them?

I don't know how or when they are created by the system, but this is
something that ASP.NET websites need. It basically has the JavaScript and
other supporting files that are used on the client.

You can get rid of the folder if you don't plan to run any ASP.NET
applications.
