Invisible data

I can't get my messagebox/listbox/combobox to display any data. In the
listbox you can tell that it is there because the scroll bars appear
and you can click around in the listbox, in the message box it is just
empty. The only time I can view my data is in a combo box and only if
I use the up/down arrows.

I can take my project to a different computer and everything shows up
fine. Has anyone else run into this?

It could be a number of things like your Desktop settings, the font color
selected, the capability of your video card, etc. The easiest thing to try
would be to set the font color (ForeColor) to Black (from the Custom tab) as
opposed to the System tab default of WindowText.

I feel like I am taking crazy pills!. I checed the color and it didn't
change anythinig, I uninstalled the video drivers just in case (to no
avail). I even installed a fresh copy of XP. Maybe one of the windows
updates is messing with me. The video card should be fine(Geforce FX
Go5200 64 MB), this problem came about only recently, I have had VS
installed for quite some time.

you are a genius! I would have never found that. I removed 8.0 and
installed 7.1 and it works great! That would explain why it stopped
working not to long ago.
