Hi,
I've got something strange when uploading files on a UNIX machine with
PHP 4.3.4 + Apache 1.3.29 :
The uploaded file is uploaded in /va/tmp with permissions 600 (that's
normal)
move_uploaded_file move it into the destination directory and
permissions stay to 600 also it should be 640 because the UMASK is 027.

I developed a simple tool to allow users to upload .GIF image files.
It works great on my dev box and $_FILES returns
"image/gif", but on the prod site it returns "application/octet-stream".
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have the following object that uploads files:
<input id="MyFile" style="width:100px" type="File"
onClick="UploadFile" runat="Server">
in my Repeater control. And it doesn't seem to work.
I need to save the file automatically when the file is uploaded. Normally,
you would have an Upload button to do this, but I need it to do it right
away.

Hi there!
I've been digging around looking for a sample on how to upload a file
without user action. I found the following article covering the area:

It describes the vba code required to handle a very simple upload

I've moved an existing site (which I didn't write) from a apache/php/mysql
host under windows to a linux apache/php/mysql host.
I've sorted out most problems except one.
There is an upload function on the site, which uploads files via POST to
temp folder and then moves it into a folder on the host using php function
move_uploaded_file. Under windows this works fine but on the linux host the
uploaded file is created with 600 permissions so...

Hi all,
We have an old web application written in java and we want to convert this
application to .net. this app stores straight html content forms in our
database. These forms then get loaded based on each customer id in the
request.
The problem I'm facing right now is that, when a form has an "user upload"
file option, I don't find a way in .Net to save the "user upload" file on
our server from these html form without rebuilding...

SA Upload SQL Database variable types (image upload and storage)
I am having trouble with the SA Upload utility. The following code used to work correctly. However, I lost my database and had to rebuild. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I may have wrong. I am not sure if I built my table to store the picture id's correctly. Maybe a field type or something.
<form name="UpdatePropertyPicture" method="POST"...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
