using XPathAPI with xalan extension functions

Hi all,

could anybody tell me if and how it's possible to use Xalan's XPathAPI
to evaluate an expression containing an extension function call against
a xml document?
Do I need to set namespaces like "xmlns:sys="xal an://mypackage.mycla ss"
and how would I do that?

Thanks a lot!

I refined my attempt a little further, and the following code does seem to work, however it has 2 major problems: 1. Very limited support for XPath features Basic paths are supported for elements, attributes, ".", and "..", plus also the "" predicate format is supported - however, only one predicate per path step is supported, and expr must...

I'm trying to return an array from a xalan extension but so far I have made no progress. What I would like to return is something like that
201
<entry id="green>55

123
so I could acces them with something like $returned. Problem is, I haven't figured out how to do that. I haven't...

Hello, I have to use xalan to transform some XML using XSL, but I have some problems within the XSLs, and Xalan doesn't give very good error messages. Is there any way to put Xalan on debug or trace mode or something else?, it's almost impossible to find the problems with those messages. i.e.: This is /xsl/template/list.xsl

using xalan 2.7.1 within Java 5.0 I want to produce a stylesheet from another stylesheet but there is NO xml. Also the stylesheet produced is actually made up of 10 sections of xslt which is actually held in memory NOT as a disk file - for this we used xslt extension functions which work really well. So my question is, using xalan's...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows.
