Dear Masters of XSLT
Could I ask you for a clue on the following question? I'd
like to use XSLT to transform an XML source file to LaTeX.
In the following small example the <para> Element contains
(I think so)
- a text node (node one)
- an element node (node two)
- a text node (node three)

Is it possible to put XSL instructions inside JavaScript?
For example, pop up a message box with the xml value: alert(value in xml);
Approach #1:
<script type="text/javascript">
alert(<xsl:value-of select="@id"/>);
</script>
It will have javascript errors

Hi,
I have ran into a situation that I think should be possible, but I am
fairly new to XSLT so maybe not.
Suppose I have the following document
<ROOT>
<FOO name="A">
<CHILD name="B"/>
</FOO>

I have a scheduled job that uses different XSL templates to transform XML
and save it to disk. I am having problems with the code below. The problem
shows up on both my development machine (Windows XP Pro SP 1, .Net Framework
1.1) and on our production server (Windows 2K SP 4, .Net Framework 1.1). I
have simplified the code and data to isolate the problem. When I use the
xsl:strip-space (Line 12) declaration in conjunction with the xsl:sort...

Is it possible to include addition tags in a XSLT file, that the XSLT
processor will, for all practical purposes, ignore?
What I'm looking to do is to include a section to contain information
regarding what parameters the XSLT file is expecting. Then my program can
retrieve the information from the style sheet and prompt the user for the
necessary parameters. I'm envisioning the section would be something like
this:
<myParameters>

Heres my problem:
I am outputting XML from a dataset and using XSLT to format the output as
HTML and the Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.ms-excel" directive to
load the output as an Excel file running within the context of the browser.
This works fine and the result is a nicely formatted Excel report. I was
wondering if there was any way to also send additional formatting information
like page margins and scaling. I've seen some...

This is supposed to be a very simple XSL stylesheet to strip styling
information out of HTML documents - it could not be more basic. And yet,
it doesn't work. I'm obviously getting something very basic wrong and for
the life of me I can't see it. Please, somebody, cast your eyes over this
and tell me what's wrong!
First, the XSL stylesheet:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
