I've had PHP on my Win2K server running IIs 5 for about 2 weeks now.
I have an annoying problem in that I can not run the php
scripts/pages locally, instead they open up in the browser as a
download.
By that I mean that If I access them via my lan or the net from
another computer on my lan, the webpages that have php on them and end
in a .php extension all run fine and work just great.
BUT if I open up the browser on the IIs server...

hello again.
i'm now into using python instead of another language(s) for
describing structures of data, including names, structure,
type-checks, conversions, value-validations, metadata etc. And i have
things to offer, and to request.
And a lot of ideas, but who needs them....
here's an example (from type_struct.py):

I am looking into work-arounds for what seems to be a flaw, or
"undocumented feature" of SQL Server replication and Instead of Delete
triggers not playing together. It seems that if you want to use
replication then you cannot use Instead Of triggers as it prohibits the
replication triggers from firing. My delima is that I need to cascade
delete, but first have the record and all child records inserted into
associated delete tables...

Is Microsoft full of #*$#*% (again) or am I badly misunderstanding
something?
Quote from Microsoft's T-SQL doc:
> INSTEAD OF triggers are executed instead of the triggering action.
> These triggers are executed after the inserted and deleted tables
> reflecting the changes to the base table are created, but before any
> other actions are taken. They are executed before any constraints,

I'm attempting to get Instead Of triggers working. My platform in
Solaris, DB2 verison 8.1.x (not sure which).
If I create two simple tables with 1 row each:
create table test_cc_1 (col1 char(2), col2 integer);
insert into test_cc_1 values ('ME', 1);
create table test_cc_2 (col1 char(2), int integer, ltime timestamp);
insert into test_cc_2 values('ME',293,NULL);

I have some code that adds new records into a table for each ID in a list
box when a button on a form is clicked. This works fine. My problem now is
that I wish to be able to edit all the records for people whose ID is in the
list box. I made minor changes to the code (mainly replacing rs.AddNew with
rs.Edit)and it appears to be updating only the first record and then
overwriting that record with the next, etc until it runs out of ID's...

Hi all,
I have the following code which imports the contents of all files within
a set folder which works excellently. Once it has imported from each file,
it deletes the file. Is there a way that instead of deleting the file, I can
move it to a log somewhere?
Private Sub Command0_Click()
'procedure to import all files in a directory and delete them.
'assumes they are all the correct format for an ASCII delimited import.
Dim strfile As...

It would be udeful to be able to get the current on-screen values from a
FormView that is databound to an ObjectDataSource by using a callback instead
of a postback. For example:
public void RaiseCallbackEvent(string eventArgs)
{
// update the data object with the values currently on screen
FormView1.UpdateItem(true);
}

I am using CLI PHP to run a PHP script, c:\wamp\php\php.exe, but
instead of executing my script, it's actually displaying the raw code
instead.
How can I run my code using CLI PHP? I installed WAMP5 on WinXP.
Thanx

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
