Label in MDIParent and ChildForm problem

144 New Member
hello,

i have some labels in my MDIParent form, they are greeting labels for the logged in user.

when i open a childform, the labels cover the opened childform, while actually i expect that the labels will be covered by the childform.

can i bring the childform to front, or is there any way to get the labels covered by the childform?

Thank you.

I am using c#2005 Beta to write a Mdi form, but I can't find the MDI properties as: IsMdiChild or MdiParent. I am a beginner of c#, is it the difference between .net 2003 edition and 2005 beta? If i want to generate Mdi, how can I generate child form? thank you.

Hi, I wounder if someone could help me here: app has an MdiParent form - i need to get some notification in form of an event when any MdiChild forms are added to/removed from MdiParent.MdiChildren collection. I have no control over children forms so i peed the parent form to fire this event. I didn't find any events of Form that would handle that. Any ideas would be highly appreciated!

Hello, I have a child form in a parent MDI form. The childform is being shrunk and cannot be resized when screen resolution is 800x600. The end user who uses my app cannot see stuff on the screen too well if the resolution is smaller than 800x600 (why did it have to be my app?) Yes, I know, get a bigger screen - $$. Management is on it - just not right now. The parent form can be resized but not the child form. What is the way...

I am trying to add Meebo's "Pop-out" kinda feature to my application which when a button is pressed in a MdiChild form, it kicks that MdiChild form out of the MdiParent boundary and acts like a SDI form of itself. When a button is pressed again, it is kicked back into the parent form. Everything is working fine except one problem. When the MdiChild form is kicked back into the form, I have to click the title bar of each MdiChild form to...

Hi all I have a MDI Container Form, with one label control on the Background of this container form. When I now open a child form, this form is behind the label ... and this looks ugly ... :-)) When I set the label with "SendToBack", it completely disapears. I also tried to set the child form like "BringToFront" but this also does not help.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
