MathML Docbook Word and Latex

Hello everybody,

I managed to get formulas from docbook to latex
using the db2latex stylesheets. I even managed to
get those formulas into HTML via the dvi2bitmap program.
The last obstacle is getting formulas into Word in an "easy" way.
The best way would be a stylsheet that converts latex formulas to
mathML. I know I ask for a lot but maybe someone has an even better
idea. Any hints are welcome.

Cheers Thomas

there are several latex to html and xhtml+mathml conversion programs.
The software list at
http://www.w3.org/Math/implementations.html
list some.
I'd probably start by trying tex4ht

Hi, Does anyone know a (open source) way of transforming MathMl in DocBook documents to PDF, along with the DocBook stuff ? Preferrably not that LaTex back ned hack. I can find loads of programs on the MathML page, just not that. Soren --

I'm experimenting with MS Word 2003 XML features as a DocBook editor. Word only appears to support XML schemas so I'm using an XML schema version of the DocBook DTD. It appears to be working reasonably well apart from adding an xmlns attribute to my outer article element as: <article xmlns="sdocbook"> When I try transforming the document using docbook-xsl-1.65.1 I get the error: "No template matches article". Removing the xmlns...

Hi I am trying to find a tool for converting XML Docbook to format that is recognized by microsoft word. I have been trying combinations such as (xsltproc, jfor) and (xalan, jfor), but the resulting rtf-documents have crashed my word. With openoffice, I can open the files, but the documents are malformed. Are there any (free) programs that con do the conversion for me? I can convert DocBook to PDF, so a good PDF2RTF-tool is also an...

I'm trying to build some mathml for a paper. I've got the mathml2 dtd, and the style sheets also from the canonical website http://www.w3.org/Math/. But I'm having some trouble. I've input the example from page 90 of the mathml handbook, which is a simple bounded integral. The mathml is as follows, where I've substituted the numerical values for the named entities:- <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> <!DOCTYPE math SYSTEM...

I am trying to get started with using Docbook/xml using free tools and am stymied in generating printable documentation from even the simplest source. I have attempted to generate a PDF using xmlto (which I guess is a shell interface to xsltproc) for the docbook source on a variety of platforms: Debian GNU/Linux stable, Gentoo GNU/Linux, FreeBSD, and Cygwin. In no case have I been successful, and the error messages are certainly not...

Since the recent "Docbook on Windows" question brought this up... I did a bit of checking on the current status of these schemas, what they're intended for and how they interrelate. IBM's Robert Weir reports that there have been "some discussions in OASIS, between the ODF, DocBook and DITA TC's to come up with a positioning and interop story involving these three standards, with the intent of giving a demo at an OASIS symposium next...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
