Searching XML-syntax for modelling workflow between software components

Hi all,
i am looking for a proper xml syntax to describe different processes. a
process contains several steps. a step is mostly a call of a software
component ((wrapped)COM or .NET assembly, maybe DCOM).
The common languages like XPDL from WfMC are usually used for e-buisness
issues. furthermore xpdl is imho too complex for my purpose.
Maybe there is already an engine or system that controls/manages
software components. it should be written in .net (c#) - the description
of the applications (components) and the workflow, both should be in xml.
thank you for your help :)

I'm working with java and XML documents in order to search for keywords in a given element name, eg element name 'author' == "jo blogs". The problem is the XML documents are downloaded (this process is automated) from different websites thus the element names for author may differ! Is their a way of dealing with this, such as perhaps a standard adopted by, say educational websites to agree on element names ? Thanks very much

Hi, We have an ASP.NET site, and a data base which contains different types of XML documents I would like to ask which technology is best to use for searching XML documents. My concern is that a 'simple' search on the XML document can retrieve wrong results if the search will ignore the fact that the XML have a schema inside for example assuming I have simple XML

Hi. I am somewhat new to this and would like some advice. I want to search my xml file using "keyword" search and return results based on "proximity matching" - in other words, since the search string will often not produce a direct match, the results will be based on proximity (50%, 20% 100%, etc). are there any good examples out there on how to do keyword searches on XML data? How should i set up my xml file so

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
