I am having a problem selecting nodes with XPATH expressions when an
attribute values contain backslashes (\\) in as part of its value:
For example the following statement fails to find a node (even though one
exists in the XML) if the value of the LDAPServerURL attribute is
\\LocalServer but works if the value is "LocalServer".

In the XPath 2.0 requirements (http://www.w3.org/TR/xpath20req/), you
see claims like:
1. In XPath 1.0, the expression |5 > $ns| evaluates to true if |5| is
greater than the |number()| value of at least one node in the
|$ns| node set. There is no way to test whether |5| is greater
than the |number()| values of all nodes in |$ns|.

Hi
Can anybody explain what self::* means in Xpath. I understand that
"self" means the context node itself and * means any node type. So I
thought self::* meant all the child nodes of context, but I some where
read that self::* mean ".", the context itself. Can somebody please
explain this.

I must be completely losing my mind.
I have some code that writes to config files. It works great with
app.config files, but fails miserably with web.config files. For the life
of me, I cannot figure out what is going on here.
I have taken it all the way back to just selecting the configuration node

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
