XPath: Selecting namspace node

Hello all,

I've written an XML file that looks a bit like this:

<a>
<space:b>
content 1
</space:b>
<b>
content 2
</b>
</a>
Well know i am writing a XSL file to do some kind of transforamtion.
But how do i select node: space:b in xpath?

node b is selected with xpath with:

/a/b

But how do i select node space:b?
The node b in namespace space.

VB6, MSXML 3.2 installed: Q1. I am having a problem selecting nodes with XPATH expressions when an attribute values contain backslashes (\\) in as part of its value: For example the following statement fails to find a node (even though one exists in the XML) if the value of the LDAPServerURL attribute is \\LocalServer but works if the value is "LocalServer".

Hello, I would like to know whether the mozilla web browser has built in support for searching XML documents via XPath expressions as with IE's xmlobject's and xmlDoc's function selectNodes() or similar. Thanks! Neil

Hi, In the XPath 2.0 requirements (http://www.w3.org/TR/xpath20req/), you see claims like: 1. In XPath 1.0, the expression |5 > $ns| evaluates to true if |5| is greater than the |number()| value of at least one node in the |$ns| node set. There is no way to test whether |5| is greater than the |number()| values of all nodes in |$ns|.

Hi Can anybody explain what self::* means in Xpath. I understand that "self" means the context node itself and * means any node type. So I thought self::* meant all the child nodes of context, but I some where read that self::* mean ".", the context itself. Can somebody please explain this. Vijay

Hi: Is there a way in XPATH to find the nearest node of the node in context with a certain attribute value. Here is my problem. I have the following XML and I am trying to add all the nodes with attribute value LNum=1 as child nodes of the nearest node above it with attribute LNum=0....and add all the nodes with attribute value LNum=2 as child nodes of the nearest node above it with attribute LNum=1 and so on. The LNum value can go...

Hi all, I'm wondering if there is a function that will return the xpath to a specific node given its context node. Essentially, I want the reverse of the document.evaluate functionality. I've seen examples where people build up the xpath themselves by walking the DOM, but I thought there has to be a better way. I've included a simple example of this, based on code from the Solvent project at MIT. This code works reasonably well, but...

I must be completely losing my mind. I have some code that writes to config files. It works great with app.config files, but fails miserably with web.config files. For the life of me, I cannot figure out what is going on here. I have taken it all the way back to just selecting the configuration node (top level node), and it fails! How can this line fail (returns null)??

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
