Is there a way to produce a data flow diagram from an MS Access 2002 (standard) database? In MS Access, I have a database that keeps track of all my jobs that run (e.g. job2 will run after job1 and job3 will run after job2), and each time I add a new job to the jobtable I would like to be able to just click on one button to generate a new flow diagram. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is the *fastest* way in .NET to search large on-disk text files (100+ MB) for a given string. The files are unindexed and unsorted, and for the purposes of my immediate requirements, can't be indexed/sorted. I don't want to load the entire file into physical memory, memory-mapped files are ok (and preferred). Speed/performance is a requirement -- the target is to locate the string in 10 seconds or less for a 100 MB file. The...

My current employer has MANY graphically created NESTED JOIN queries. They drive me crazy with their complexities and normally have duplications. Is there a a reference some place on-line or a textbook that will serve as a good help in re-constructing them into a more straight-forward simpler format. I would just like to have a reference showing the typical way to simplify the complex query designer results. I found the following posting...

I'm a computational chemist who frequently dabbles in Python. A collaborator sent me a huge XML file that at one point was evidently modified by a now defunct java application. A sample of this file looks something like: <group type="struct"> <name>Test</name> <param type="string"> <name>File Name</name> <cTag>fileName</cTag>

I have some Asp.net 2.0/vb.net code that creates a gantt chart with some dependencies as a new MS Project (.mpp) file. How would I show this resulting .mpp file on an Asp.net webpage? I want to show the Gantt Chart as a graphical object on my webpage and display it as read only.

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
