xsl-fo: round border for table or block

hi,
i am new to the xsl-fo-pdf-stuff...

i want to create a pdf document with apache-fop. in this document i do
have a border around two blocks. my designer want to have round
corners for the border. is there any easy way to do this?
and the second question: the two blocks have to overlap each other, so
the borders will overlap too.

thanxs in advance

I'm new, so I'll take a stab at it.

I don't see any way in the border styles to see anything that's a round
corner per se. Border styles are:

dashed dotted double groove
hidden inherit inset none
outset ridge solid

One alternate would be to have a graphic that gets laid in before the
text, but there's always the problem of knowing where to put it or how
large to make it.

ok, native border styles won't help. i have just found out, how to
overlap graphic and texts... as we have fixed border width/heights it
won't be no problem to use a graphic for this... i have to play around
a bit...

my task is to create a invoice-style ticket with lot's of "design" and
some security-graphics...

thanxs for your answer.

The problem is that it is not the style of a *border* to have a rounded
corner - that would apply to a rectangular area, because the stipulation of
the rounding would refine the perimeters of the area, to which former the
styling of the border would then apply.

My XML and XSL is below. Also below is a textual representation of what I want to get out of the XML with XSL. For each Extension node in XML, I am only concerned with those nodes with fieldTypeCodes of 10 - 17. For any given query there will be up to 4 Extension nodes fitting this criteria. I have everything working except for being able to insert a, b, c or d in the <box12 tags. Notice each row or found node has a different letter. ...

I have a scheduled job that uses different XSL templates to transform XML and save it to disk. I am having problems with the code below. The problem shows up on both my development machine (Windows XP Pro SP 1, .Net Framework 1.1) and on our production server (Windows 2K SP 4, .Net Framework 1.1). I have simplified the code and data to isolate the problem. When I use the xsl:strip-space (Line 12) declaration in conjunction with the xsl:sort...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
