Hi all,
I've been writing in ColdFusion for about 6 years now, and now that
we've installed a Sharepoint Portal Server I'm finding that I need to
use ASP.Net to make database calls. I'm finding no good documentation
for someone who hasn't worked with ASP.Net...
In ColdFusion it's a very simple task to pull data from a database...
just setup the datasource in the CF Admin page and use something like

I'm about to install VS.NET 2005 and SQL Server 2005 on a new/clean
development machine (XP Pro/SP2 etc).
Is the order of installation important (i.e., which product should I install
first)?
Thanks!

A word of warning, I am new to .NET and fairly new to SQL Server.
The problem I have must be a common one, but I am uable to make it
work. I have a .NET project and have the user management and roles
working fine via Visual Studio and the default
"ASPNewSQlMembershipProvider." There is database file called "ASPNETDB
..MDF", and users are easily created and logged in. I can access the
tables fine. Now I just need to upload the...

Ok, I've installed MS Sql Server Express, and I've created a database
'ProbnaBaza' and a table 'clan' in Management Studio. I tried using the
database locally through a project in Visual
Studio. I used the following connection string:
"Server=.\\SQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=clan;Integrated Security=SSPI";
It worked perfectly.
Then, I tried using the database by setting an IP address within the
connectionString,

Hi
I have 2 installers for my VB.NET app, one for the client app (exe, dlls,
config etc.), one for server components (shared data files, sql express db).
I have a few questions relating to the architecture of the deployment:
1. For the server install, I will be providing the mdf/ldf files. These
either need to be attached to an existing SQL 2005 installation (any version)
or SQL Express will need to be installed and the files attached...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
