I have a text file ("eighty.txt") that looks like this:
83|84|85|86
I can read the file into an array like this:
$numbers= file("eighty.txt");
But how do I key the array? I'd like to use strings as keys: three, four, five,
six - do I add the key names in the file?

Hello.
I am trying to read a small text file using the readline statement. I
can only read the first 2 records from the file. It stops at the blank
lines or at lines with only spaces. I have a while statement checking
for an empty string "" which I understand represents an EOF in Python.
The text file has some blank lines with spaces and other with blanks.
Thanks a lot.

I just reinstalled .NET 2003 (after repeated attempts to get ASP.NET
Web Applications to work). I first did a complete uninstall of .NET
2003, .NET Framework 1.1, and IIS. I also completely deleted
c:\inetpub\wwwroot and rebooted before reinstalling.
I created a new virtual directory from within IIS (e.g. MyWebTest).
Then I tried to create a new Visual C# ASP.NET Web Application
pointing to the location http://localhost/MyWebTest. I get...

Hello World,
I made a Windowsform that reads data from a CSV file.
It works fine, but when I have read the data of a record I have to re-Debug
the form to read another record.
So when I put a new seek item in the textbox after I searched for an item
and click the seek button.. it seems it is doing nothing.
And also... what code can I use to genereate a messagebox message when a
seek item is not at all in the CSV file?

I had created a macro to read data from an excel sheet and write the
values to a text file. I had used "ActiveSheet.Range("GB" & k).Value"
command to read the values from the excel.
The issue is: some cells in the excel sheet is having two lines value
and four lines data, the text file is generating that value in a
single line. (Ex. the cell value in address column is in four lines
and should display in four lines in the text file...

Someone recently asked about reading lines. I had this code written
some time ago (part of a BASIC-style interpreter based on H. Shildts
in Art of C) to read a file with the lines ended in any format:
Microsoft-style CR/LF pair, Unix-style NL, or Mac-style CR. It also
allows for EOF that does not follow a blank line. I thought this would
make text-file sharing a bit easier.
Here it is:
/* Load a file, normalizing newlines to *nix...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
