I have ASP.NET websites deployed on a number of servers. Thee were
developed with Visual Studio 2003.
Is it true that Visual Studio 2005 only supports .NET Framework 2.0 and I
will be required to have Visual Studio 2005 for those ASP.NET websites and
Visual Studio 2003 for my currently deployed websites?
Is there a summary document listing what is provided in Visual Studio 2005?
Apparently there is support for .NET Framework 1 and 2,...

If you have already created a web-based application in Visual Studio 2003, will it run on the .NET 2.0 framework or will you have to upgrade your VS 2003 to VS 2005 code in order to run it. We have a developer who just recently finished a nice sized project in VS 2003, but we just recently upgraded out .NET framework to 2005. I haven't broke the news to him yet, hopefully I won't have to and it will run.
Thanks!

Hi all. I apologize if this has been asked/answered already, I couldn't
find any info. In 1.1, my standard web application structure includes a
front end website, and a management site (or administration site..
however you call it). The management site is a subfolder of the primary
site, say "/mgt" and it is a separate IIS application, so it has it's
own web.config and authentication scheme. Since both the mgt site and
the front end site...

Hello everyone,
If I am using Visual Studio 2005 to build a C# Class Library (COM), it is as
default dependent on .Net Runtime Framework 2.0 when running?

Hi All,
I am a VB.Net 2003 user and now upgraded to 2005. I have a Win application with a module as a startup object. The module enables me to close and open simultaneous forms while the application is still running "like a login form". In 2005 I feel like losing this advantage if I selected "Enable Application Framework", while not selecting it will prevent me from using the XP visual styles at least.
Any ideas how to Enable Application...

I'm trying to use the System.Windows.Controls namespace, but when I
try to add a reference to it I don't see it in the list. I see a
System.Windows.Forms, but not a System.Windows.Controls.
Can someone let me know how I go about getting it in the list of
available references?
Thanks

I'm using a ReportViewer in ASP.NET. From the development environment it
works fine. When published and I try to open the page with the ReportViewer I
get the error:
An internal error occurred on the report server. See the error log for more
details.
Do I have something configured wrong? I do not knw where to find the error
log to review it.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
