Nested Custom Class as input parameter in web method

Hi,

I am working on a web service method while will accept custom class as array
and output antoher custom class. My code is

public class a
public str1 as string
public str2 as string
public str3 as b()
end class

public class b
public str4 as string
end class

and my webmethod signature is
Public Function GETLIST(ByVal te As a())

Class a will have multiple types of class b.

Now in webmethod, I am taking class a as input parameter as an array. When I
compile this code and see the soap xml file, I can see class a variables but
not class b. It just shows <B xsi:nil="true" /with out any elements.

After going through the emails and discussion forums, I have tried
xmlinclude and soap include at class level and wemethod level, but nothing
works.

please suggest what is wrong with the above code.

regards,
hari.

I've done some C++ and Java in the past, and have recently learned a fair amount of Python. One thing I still really don't get though is the difference between class methods and instance methods. I guess I'll try to narrow it down to a few specific questions, but any further input offered on the subject is greatly appreciated: 1. Are all of my class's methods supposed to take 'self' as their first arg? 2. Am I then supposed to call...

I'd like to create a "custom output facility". In other words, I want an object whose use is similar to std::cout/std::cerr, but offers more flexibility. Instead of simply writing the parameter to stdout/stderr, I'd like it to write to stdout, to a file, and/or call a logging function. So my output function might look something like this: OutputFacility& OutputFacility::put(const std::string& s) { cout << s; // print to stdout

I have a .net client/server application using remoting, and I cannot get the custom exception class to pass from the server to the client. The custom exception is derived from ApplicationException and is defined in an assembly common to the client and server components. The custom class merely defines three (3) constructors -- the null constructor; one with a string parameter; and one with a string and innner exception parameter -- that...

In my quest to create a derived edit control in ATL that will go into an application that will hopefully make me some money one day, I have decided to try to devise a custom licensing scheme for it. I will describe it and would like to see what people think and how it can be improved if possible please. My aim is not to prevent it from being used in design mode / OK in run mode, but to have a *relatively simple* method of making sure that...

Does anyone know if its possible to pass parameters or the values of Request.QueryString from a web page to a custom control class? I'm using a C# Web Application. For Example I have Web Page1 which has to parameters passed to it from another Web page Parameter # 1 dbid and Parameter # 2 reportid. I know that I can access the values of the parameters from the code behind .aspx.cs using Request.QueryString so

This is a long one, so I'll summarize: 1. What are your opinions on raising an exception within the constructor of a (custom) exception? 2. How do -you- validate arguments in your own exception constructors? I've noticed that, f.ex., ArgumentException accepts null arguments without raising ArgumentNullException. Obviously, if nothing is to be supplied to the exception constructor, the default constructor should

When I try to serialize an instance of the LocationCell below (note Building field) I get an error in the reflection attempt. If I remove the _Building field it serializes fine. I tried renaming Building._Name to Building._BName in case the duplicate name was the issue, but that didn't help. Is there a native way to serialize nested objects, or will I have to write my own? public class LocationCell

I was looking at a page that showed how to set up a custom event and it seems to work ok. But I am not sure how I would use it. How would I subscribe to it. There is actual action (such as pressing a button or changing text in a textbox). It gets set up and on the user control on my web page I can see the event from intellisense. So it seems to be set up, but I am trying to get an easy example of how I would now use this event. ...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
