Button in gridview footer template and Validation

1 New Member
Dear sir,

I am using Gridview asp.net 2.0, I have a problem with Gridview Footer Template.

I have put Button, Textbox and RequiredValidat or in the Footer Template and Want to validate the textbox if it is empty and I used ValidationGroup . I have done all jobs and the page is working but the problem is the button is working the first time but the second time does not postback.

The Button shows "Error on the page" in the status bar when the mouse over the Button, you get in the status bar this msg.

"Javascript : webform_DoPostb ack with Option........"

Plz help.

I'm reposting this. I'm kinda in a bind untill i get this figured out, so if anyone has some input it would sure help me out. Ok, I’ve noticed a few gridview problems floating around the forum. Everyone wants to do a java confirmation box when a user clicks the delete button. Fair enough, basic user design rules state that you should always confirm a delete action. There is also a consensus that the best way to do this is a template...

I would like to move the Delete button such that it displays one time in the footer row, rather than on every row. I've seen lots of questions asked on the subject around the net, but no answer that seems to solve the problem. I have tried a few things: - adding a button, setting it's command name to Delete. Problem with this is that the CommandArgument value does not get set to the SelectedIndex of the GridView. Instead it has the...

I have a gridview that I bind to a List(of Type) at runtime. Not using a datasource control. The gridview has a template column with an imagebutton whose commandname is set to 'Delete'. The footer template has an commandbutton with the commandname set to 'Insert'. Both buttons cause postback, however the RowCommand event does not fire. How can I get the rowcommand to fire?

I have a Gridview that I am dynamically adding template columns to which contain text boxes in their "Item Data" field. After adding the columns to the gridview in my Page_Load event, the page binds a SQL Data Source to the Gridview and all is good. I'm left with a gridview with 5 columns 3 of which have text boxes in their item cells. (The other two come directly from the SQL DS) What I want is to be able to change a value in one of the...

Hello, I am working with a ListView but I suppose that with a GridView might be the same. Instead of having an Insert Button on each GridView row I would like to have only one Insert button, for example, in the GridView footer. When this button is clicked it should put the GridView in Insert Mode and the EditTemplate should be showed, maybe (?), in the last GridView

I'm using a GridView inside a Wizard Control with a textbox and two listboxes in the footer. I populate these listboxes from the database if the page isn't on postback (and the textbox is left blank initially). All of these controls have viewstate enabled. When the user fills out the textfield and clicks ADD, I do a check for validation of the data. If the user does not select a valid listbox entry, I abort the rest of the add, and make...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
