Hi,
i have already found a xindice based java gui. but it appears always a big
problem from the xupdate functions. If i tip some commands in and try to
execute them, it will appear an exception, this result from the example
http://xml.apache.org/xindice/guide-developer.html#N1025F are
extraordinarily similar:

Hello! I have 2 questions regarding Xindice
(http://xml.apache.org/xindice/):
1) Does anyone know how to set the encoding???
Normaly im using encoding="iso-8859-1" in my xml-files, this makes it
possible to use swedish characters. The problem is that every time im
pulling someting out from Xindice the encoding is lost, and all my
swedish characters are turned to crap.

Hallo,
please excuse if I violate any group etiquette etc. but I am not very
experienced both regarding the usenet and your group.
I have installed Xindice, integrated into Tomcat, and can use it via the
command line tools provided without problems. Yet when I try to access
the database within a Java program I get the following error:

I would need to make some high-reliability software
running on Linux in an embedded system. Performance
(or lack of it) is not an issue, reliability is.
The piece of software is rather simple, probably a
few hundred lines of code in Python. There is a need
to interact with network using the socket module,
and then probably a need to do something hardware-
related which will get its own driver written in
C.

I have a large collection of custom objects, each representing a period in
time with each having a start datetime and an end datetime. I frequently
need to query this collection to return a subset of the objects that fall
completely or partially between two specified dates. The way I'm doing this
at the moment is to iterate thru the entire collection on each query and
pull out the valid objects, but this is hardly an optimal way to do it....

Does anybody know why VB.NET would omit the Forms collection available in
previous versions versions of VB? I imagine that there must be a reason why
they decided to do away with it, but I can't fathom why. Does anybody know?

I'm trying to compile myGeneration PropertyCollectionAll.cs file with VCS
Express 2005 bot got error
Error 1 The type or namespace name 'Collection' could not be found (are you
missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
PropertyCollectionAll.cs 17 39
I looked to .NET 2 help and found that Collection class is included in
mscorlib so it doen't need assembly reference.
How to fix this error ?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
